System portal setup
Main documentation for the Cloud Portal
The Cloud Portal is currently in beta and will replace the current existing Cloud. This means currently not all functionality is available in the Portal.
Navigate to https://portal.openmotics.com
The main login page allows the user to enter username & password.
If a private computer is used, it's possible to remember the credentials for a given amount of time. If using a recent version of Chrome the option "permanent" might be showed, which interfaces with Chrome itself to let it store the credentials. In that case, the portal will automatically login in the future.
If two factor authentication was selected, the TOTP will be requested. Permanent mode is currently not possible when two factor authentication is set.
Once logged in, the dashboard is the default page that will be showed. It shows the amount of lights that are on, and shows the amount of apps that are installed.
Lights & Outputs
This page is used to control all lights and outputs.
The thermostat page contains basic controls to set the desired temperatures.
The energy page shows the current energy consumption of connected Energy Modules.
Settings > Initialisation
The initialisation page shows the modules that are installed in the system.
To add new modules to the system open the initialisation wizard by clicking the start discovery button. Make sure to read all instructions carefully.
After the wizard closes, press the buttons on all new modules. The page will show the newly discovered modules. Don't forget to exit discovery mode once finished.
Settings > Outputs
This page displays an overview of all Outputs in the system with their state. When selecting an output, various settings can be changed using the edit button at the bottom of the page. This open a wizard.
Settings > Inputs
This page displays an overview of all Inputs in the system.
When selecting an Input the bottom section displays all settings. The edit button starts the Input configuration wizard.
The first step allows to set the name and select the Input's global functionality. Selecting an option immediately displays some more information about that functionality. Selecting the right option will make it easier to enter the configuration. Using the advanced configuration allows access to all features.
The second step depends on the selected functionality.
The third step is only available if the Input is one via the CAN system (microCAN module connected to a CAN Control module). It allows to configure the feedback led for that input. It can either be disabled, linked to the state of an output, or display more generic feedback (e.g. whether some light in the house is on/off). If more complex feedback is needed, these leds can also be configured in Group Actions or "Advanced configuration".
Settings > Sensors
An overview of all installed sensors with their values. An indicator will show sensor values that are increasing or decreasing.
Again, an edit wizard allows to make basic changes.
Settings > Thermostats
The thermostats settings page shows both the global thermostat settings (e.g. pump delay, which outputs control cooling/heating switch, ...) as the settings of the individual thermostats

When selecting an individual thermostat, the page shows the thermostat's settings (timings and temperatures). Changing those temperature/timing values is not yet supported, but the other parameters can be changed.
