Multi color status LED Function on the micro CAN

Bootloader:

LED Function Description
YELLOW on The micro CAN is booting; it validates the CRC and boot safety bit
YELLOW on with

PURPLE pulses at 1Hz

The boot safety bit was not set, indicating that the application could not start. The bootloader awaits further instructions.
YELLOW on with

TURQUOISE pulses at 1Hz

The micro CAN application was not started because the application CRC was incorrect. The bootloader awaits further instructions.
YELLOW on with

OFF pulses at 1Hz

The bootloader was explicitly entered. The bootloader awaits further instructions.
YELLOW on with

PURPLE/TURQUOISE/OFF pulses at ~3Hz

Same as above, but the micro CAN is actively communicating with the Brain or CAN Control. Note that the blinking might be irregular every now and then when show actions (such as flash writes) are performed.
WHITE on The bootloader has jumped to the application. As soon as the application is started, led functionality will be taken over by the application.

Application:

LED Function Description
4 flashes The LED will flash 4 times every 15 seconds (and when booting) to indicate status:

Flash 1: Indicates CAN bus status (BLUE: Communication with CAN Control Module OK || RED: No communication detected)

Flash 2: Indicates the status of the external combined temperature/humidity I2C sensor (GREEN: 1 External I2C sensor OK and used: temp/humidity || BLUE: 1 or more I2C sensors found, at least 1 is different the Temp/hum sensor || RED: No external I2C sensor found)

Flash 3: Indicates the status of the temperature sensor (DS1820) connected on the first output OR the status of the external temperature/humidity sensor (GREEN: sensor OK || RED: Error or no sensor connected)

Flash 4: Indicates the status of the temperature sensor (DS1820) connected on the second output.

GREEN flash When a switch is pressed, the LED flashes GREEN
GREEN dim/on/off When the instruction "input indicate" is used and an input of this micro CAN is selected
BLUE dim/on/off When the instruction "sensor indicate" is used and a sensor (onboard sensor, temperature/humidity sensor or DS1820 on Output 1) of this micro CAN is selected
PINK dim/on/off When the instruction "sensor indicate" is used and a sensor (DS1820 on Output 2) of this micro CAN is selected
RED flash Short circuit or overcurrent is detected on the 5VDC output

Some remarks:

  • It can take up to 2 minutes before a connected sensor is found.
  • You can connect either a combined Temp/humidity I2C sensor, or 1 or 2 DS1820 sensors which means that LED indication is green for the I2C sensor or green for the DS1820.
