Note: Due to changes in the production process there are 2 versions of the micro CAN with regards to the wiring bundle.

  • The first (obsolete) iteration has flexible (multi-strand) cables; its connection scheme can be found on the micro CAN Connections (Obsolete) page
  • The second (current) iteration has solid copper core cables and uses a black shrink wrap on certain cables: refer to the table below
    • Colors ending in "(M)" refer to the shrink wrap on that conductor

Grey Output Common (If the leds are powered for example by 12VDC, the + of the 12VDC is connected to this connection and to the common anode of all leds connected on this module) - Max 24VDC - The Leds CANNOT be powered by Connection 10 (5V OUT) !!

Purple/Light pink Output Led 6 (The cathode of led 6 will be connected to this connection)

Blue Output Led 5 (The cathode of led 5 will be connected to this connection)

Green Output Led 4 (The cathode of led 4 will be connected to this connection)

Yellow Output Led 3 (The cathode of led 3 will be connected to this connection)

Red Output Led 2 (The cathode of led 2 will be connected to this connection)

Note 1: TR is used to place the Termination jumper. The termination jumper is placed at both ends of the CAN Bus. Typically, the CAN Bus starts at the CAN Control module (so the termination jumper will be placed at the CAN Control module) and ends at a micro CAN module so this last micro CAN module will have a termination jumper as well.
Note 2: The micro CAN module also features a tri-color LED on the back of the module. The indication of the LEDs can be found on CAN Micro led functions.
Note 3: Below, you find 2 examples how sensors are connected to the micro CAN module. One example with 2 temperature sensors, and one example with the Honeywell temperature/humidity sensor
Note 4: The Honeywell sensor exists in 2 versions:
 HIH8121-021-001: default product with 1 sensor, costs approx. 12 EUR
 HIH8121-021-001S: sample with 5 sensors, costs approx. 60 EUR
Note 5: The Honeywell sensor only measures positive temperatures (for all micro CAN modules delivered until end of December 2017) so for an outside sensor, please use a DS1820 or similar sensor
